Summary:
D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. is looking for an Accountant to join the administrative team at Americas Oldest Brewery. Based in Pottsville, PA, this person reports directly to the Controller and will be responsible for maintaining the accounting records for several entities; filing taxes and statutory reporting; processing cash receipts and disbursements; preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, KPIs/metrics, financial analysis, and ad-hoc reporting; assisting with physical inventories; costing and various other fiscal responsibilities within the office.
Ideal candidates should have a Bachelors degree in business administration, finance or accounting with 5+ years relevant experience preferably in public accounting or a manufacturing environment. CPA or CMA credentials a plus but not required. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal, organizational, project management and problem-solving capabilities coupled with a solid understanding of US GAAP and fundamental tax laws. The role requires the ability to work independently with limited supervision and advanced computer skills in MS Office, ERP systems and other accounting software. We seek someone with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with a proven record to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
