FULL-TIME HELP WANTED
Washington Township is accepting applications to fill a full-time
position within our Public Works
Department. The position consists of a 40- hour work week with the ability to work irregular hours
and overtime as needed.
The Department is responsible for the construction and general
maintenance of township roads, parks, and properties.
Dependability, attention to detail and the ability to function in a team atmosphere are required. Minimum education requirements are a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Proven functional experience is
required in the operation of heavy equipment including but not limited to dump trucks, backhoe, loaders, tractors, and all standard attachments, along with the proficient use of a variety of hand and power tools. A current Class A or B CDL
license is also required.
The qualified individual should have a general knowledge of accepted construction practices as they apply to road and property maintenance. Basic knowledge in the use of a computer is highly desired.
The individual must be available FOR ON-CALL WINTER
MAINTENANCE AND including evening/weekend hours may be
required for EMERGENCIES and
INCLEMENT WEATHER EVENTS. The position offers an excellent
benefit package with a starting rate based upon the individuals skills, knowledge, and experience.
Successful applicants must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid PA Drivers License, and be able to satisfactorily complete
a PA State Police Criminal
Background Check, a PA
Department of Motor Vehicles Records Check, as well as a drug test. Qualified applicants are invited to pick-up and submit an
