SUPERINTENDENT
The Borough of Hamburg, Berks County, PA is currently hiring a full time salaried Public Works Superintendent to oversee, plan and direct the operation and upkeep of the Borough of Hamburgs building, facility and grounds maintenance, as well as road work, snow removal and repairs to the Boroughs streets and storm sewer system. This position is directly responsible to the Borough Manager. Applicants should have (1) a high school diploma or GED, (2) a minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory role, (3) experience working in a municipal public works environment preferable, (4) training/education in maintenance, machinery, mechanics or related field, (5) history of safe work habits and a clean driving record, (6) a valid PA drivers license, CDL preferred, (7) financial experience in operational budgeting, (8) ability to be on call to respond to emergencies, (9) ability to attend monthly meetings as required, (10) ability to perform any other duties as assigned by the Borough Manager.
