Applications are being accepted for the position of Police Office for the Borough of Shenandoah, Applications can be obtained at the Shenandoah Borough Hall, 15 W Washington St, Shenandoah, PA Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The Civil Service Commission will be conducting a Civil Service Examination to prepare a list of candidates for full-time positions within the Borough of Shenandoah Police Department.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, must be a citizen of the United States, must possess a high school or general equivalency diploma. Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer and possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License. All applicants will be subject to an extensive background check, criminal history check, and credit check. Psychological and physical examination. Applicants with ACT 120 Certification preferred.

Properly completed applications, along with a $35.00 non-refundable application fee must be submitted by the deadline. Checks or money orders should be made payable to the Borough of Shenandoah. The deadline for applications to be submitted is Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 4:00 pm.
