Tax Clerk
The City of Pottsville is seeking
a dependable, detail-oriented
individual with good
communications skills to fill
the full-time position of Tax Clerk. This employee will facilitate
the collection of City taxes
and miscellaneous fees by entering relevant data, developing bills,
posting transactions, balancing
and reconciling accounts in order
to issue and receive payments
and maintain appropriate
accounting and bookkeeping records relating to City-wide
or departmental accounting
activities. High School diploma, post high school training preferred, two years of experience in office
environment. The successful
candidate will be required
to establish and maintain residency within the City of Pottsville within
6 months of employment.
Job descriptions are available at the Office of the City Clerk between the hours of 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday.
