The Pine Grove Area School District is accepting applications for the position of
Director of Special
Education
to plan, implement, coordinate and supervise the delivery of educational services to students with special needs and gifted in order to ensure that the needs of each child are met and services are being implemented. Requirements: Masters Degree in Special Education or related field, and a PA Special Education Supervisory certificate or other PDE approved certifications. Professional teaching experience in Special Education is desired. Interested parties should have knowledge of special education law, disabilities, programmatic needs of students, and current trends in the techniques in the field. Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, communications and conflict mediation skills and be able to work in an environment with frequent interruptions, make judgements and work under a high level of stress. This is an Act 93 Administrative position with competitive salary and full benefits.
