FULL TIME POLICE OFFICER
City of Shamokin –
Civil Service Exam

Applications are being accepted for employment as a Full Time Police Officer for the City of Shamokin Police Department.

Applications can be obtsined at Shamokin City Hall, 47 E. Lincoln St., Shamokin, PA Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Application period opens Monday Fevruary 12, 2024 at 9:00 AM and closes Friday, March 1, 2024 at 4:00 PM.

Requirements are as follows: ACT 120 Preferred, but not required, at least 18 years of age, must be a citizen of the United States of America, must possess a high school or general equivalency diploma, must be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer and possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.

All applicants will be subject to an extensive background check, criminal history check, driver record check, redit check, and psychological exam, kn addition to a Civil Service Commission Written Exam, Physical Agility Test and Oral Interview.

A $35 Cash or Check is due at the time you pick up yoru application packet.
