The City of Shamokin is seeking an experienced Solicitor to act as its general counsel. The Solicitor will be responsible for providing legal services to municipal government and administration, including but not limited to the drafting and review of contracts, ordinances, resolutions and policies; advising City officials and agencies; and representing the City in administrative and legal proceedings. Attendance at all scheduled meetings and work sessions of City Council is required.
The ideal candidate will be a licensed attorney in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar Association and have at least three years of municipal law experience. Retainer and hourly rate commensurate with experience.
